attended -- junior high, washington high school, san francisco city college and ending up at the academy of art university. as a child i remember how exciting it was to ride bart it was first completed and they a nickel to ride a bus. my son nicholas, 23, my daughter mia, 10, because of my professional background i am well-suited to serve the san francisco community and to help you seek consensus. as a board member i would hear every case with an open heart. during my 15 years as a small business owner in the sunset district i have always listened to clients, neighbors and fellow business owners. with that knowledge i believe i have a better understanding after the responsibilities of business owners not only to their patrons but the neighborhood in the community. because of the many relationships are forged over those years in small business it was an easy transition to real estate. most of all i am most proud of the fact that after several hundred transactions of not been a party of any mediation, arbitration or litigation. i feel that because of a professional experience as a realtor

place. doesn't have to be assigned. currently we object rate in san diego, washington, d.c., portland, austin, miami, and all of our users have the same experience. they find the cars on their app generally and they get the car for as long as they need it. in the cities that we operate, we define a home area as how the system works. this is just a picture of the d.c. home area on the left and a distribution of cars on the right. so, as you can see the cars are evenly distributed throughout the area and it's not because we put the cars there. it's because the members put them there. for san francisco, we envision a program where we would deploy up to 450 cars at least throughout the city and in the month before launch, we would provide extensive outreach to those communities that currently are not under served to educate them on the program and teach them about how to use the service and we would pay for the metered parking. and all we need is permission from san francisco to implement this program. >> okay, i'm going to ask you a couple questions. these are specific questions i have o

the neighbor and they have lived there last 40 years and i heard mr. washington say about all of the reiterations of the plans going through but the plans mail out in march of this year did not show any light windows, decks or set backs or skylight on the adjacent building it simply walled over those adjacent features and when these were brought these facts brought to the attention of the planner march 222005 and i am flaintd e-mail sent to the planner ten days before the 11 expired, that hey it's too late they should be prepare to file the d r that they thought that the plans were inaccurate and so basically, these poor focus had no choice whatsoever accept to file a d r just to maintain a code d r and it's incredibly unfair the player could have conforms what they were saying about these maps in two minutes with a google map and none of these were diminished capacitied on the plant and so not only did the department fail to do it's job and fail to check the plan for crazy and fail to dplie comply with section 311 when they were told that they had failed and they sithly said that's

the middle school and george washington high school that there is a 38 that is dedicated just to the students when you have you know, 1100 kids being dismissed at the same time at a school. there are over 2,000 students that were able to coordinate that. but however, i have been hearing to school that they are having a lot of issues around this. so as you know, when you are late they miss class and so i think that we maybe can be more efficient and we have maybe a better conversation or conversations with muni and align the school schedules with the needs and i think that some principals actually have done an assessment of what or how many students ride which line and they have a pretty good idea. and so maybe we can work with them on this as we are working with them about this... >> did we just... >> about the transportation plans. >> thanks. just gave you a whole bunch of stuff to do. >> thank you. >> miss okeff i know that this is not the easyist thing to do because this could be many different perspectives on what we should be cutting and what we should be keeping. but i do want

are other on-street models out there. washington, d.c. and portland being some. our pilot was to see how it would work here. there is a whole process that we, as we do for most uses on the street, took the pilot spaces, too. i won't go through these all, but just to say there was quite a bit of vetting. not originally proposed space made it through. a lot of opportunity for public comment as it relates to san francisco, to make sure that we were being thoughtful in terms of placing these. so, here you can see graphically where we ended up putting spaces. they went in in a few phases, starting in september of last year through february of this year. there were 12 in all scattered somewhat throughout the city. so, one of the goals of the hearing was to discuss results. the two main measures by which we evaluated the pilot, the first was vehicle utilization. and this chart shows over the months just the percentage of time the vehicle was in use. you could see it's fairly mixed. there were some that were very heavily used. there were some that were much less used. there were some tha
